The Principals of Baker Street have closed more than $10Bn of CRE transactions and have a combined experience of over 35 years in the industry. Our diverse backgrounds of working at major investment banks and as investors ourselves allows us to intimately understand each Lending institution and how best to tailor each capital structure to meet our client’s needs. From arranging construction financing to restructuring distressed loans, Baker Street has connections and resources in all areas of the commercial real estate market that our clients can leverage to achieve their goals.
Leadership Team
Robert Vernicek
Rob has nearly two-decades of experience in the real estate industry with a diverse and highly transactional background. Rob offers his expertise in loan restructuring to advise Baker Street’s clients in the workout of troubled loans and the placement of uniquely challenging recapitalizations.
Rob is also a Partner in OneFive Capital, a multifamily investment and management firm with over 1k units under management. Rob was previously a Director at Iron Hound Management where he focused on CRE loan restructurings and debt and equity placement. He was responsible for analyzing, structuring, and negotiating deals and closed over $10 Billion of transactions during his decade long tenure with the firm.
Robert earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Amherst College, as well as a Master of Science in Real Estate from the NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate.
Brian Sherlock
Brian is a 15+ year veteran of the real estate industry with significant CRE financing and investment expertise. Brian focuses on providing Baker Street’s clients comprehensive capital markets and loan restructuring services as well as overseeing the strategic growth of the platform.
Brian was previously a Director in the Real Estate Finance group at UBS focused on originating and underwriting CMBS and balance sheet loans. Day to day functions included sourcing, underwriting, closing and distributing loans secured by all asset types nationwide. Prior to UBS, Brian worked at Iron Hound Management focused on CRE loan restructurings and debt and equity placements.
Brian earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rowan University as well as a Real Estate Financing & Investment Certificate from NYU School of Professional Studies.
